
How to improve yourself.

10 points if you have little reading time:
- think that you can, you are worthy to improve
- look for a single point of yours to improve that is realistic and the lower the better, visualize yourself
- consider that you deserve some time for yourself, take your agenda and plan when to start, what days and at what time
- set a deadline to start and check results, if you want to take photos, upload them to the networks …
- start yes or yes the appointed day
- do it in automatic mode, there are no excuses
- get together with people, if it is possible of your age and, better, if they are friends that pursue the same goal
- see how you are transforming, tell and encourage those who are by your side to improve
- be a personal energizer
- last point and the best: once achieved, enjoy it!

I believe in personal improvement. I am convinced that we can improve from a bodily, cognitive and emotional point of view.
I know myself and I know that I’m a maximizer, I’m always looking to improve a little, I’m a nonconformist although within my possibilities.
It is not about seeking perfection, that apart from being impossible is not healthy, it is about achieving personal excellence that is the best version of ourselves with the capabilities that genetics, the environment, the circumstances and the people with whom we relate. So to achieve your goal:
- relate to people who want to improve like you
- interact with people who encourage you to get your best version
We have the rest of our life to achieve any realistic goal that we propose, there is no hurry, we must take it as a challenge, as an attractive challenge, without stress, in small steps but in the same direction.
I emphasize the realistic because it is important. For example we can not grow 10 cm. more although we try hard with stretching, but we can get to deploy the maximum height we have.
We can get, for example, to exercise, and you would say that you do not notice much until after a while you see someone of your age who has not even tried it.
The approach is:
To the sentence: «Every day I take a shower, I eat and I sleep.» Now to this sentence you also add the objective that you have proposed, for example:
- Every day I take a shower, I eat, I sleep and go to the gym.
- Every day I take a shower, I eat, I sleep and do meditation.
- Every day I take a shower, I eat, I sleep and read fa book or a while.
- Every dayI take a shower, I eat, I sleep and ______ fill with your propose.
Whatever is. Better if you concentrate on just one thing. You choose it, and you do it with determination, without excuses, until turning it into a routine, for example going to the gym. Then you will do it «in automatic mode» and you will even find it missing if you do not do it.
There is a thought that helps me, in my case:
- If I have been able to study (Medicine – substitute it for what you want) this of ____ for me is a walk
- If I have been able to study Medicine how can I not be able to do this
- If I have been able to study Medicine how can I resist a half marathon if I propose it, there is no color
If it is a negative challenge, for example quitting smoking or drinking alcohol …, the approach is:
- I do not drink alcohol today
- I do not smoke today
- I do not… today
And when someone offers you:
– Do you want a cigarette?
Automatically you say:
– No, thanks
– A beer?
– No, thanks
and that’s it!, without apologizing, without giving explanations to anyone, you do not have to justify yourself.
There will be times or a day when you fail, for whatever reason, it is part of the human condition and part of the process, so count on it, days of retreat that are very angry because they subtract you from a stroke part of the great effort made . Mentalize yourself, be realistic, accept that it will happen and continue, that it will not serve as an excuse to end the purpose. It will be like a graph with ups and downs. After many small mistakes and a great determination you will reach the goal and believe me, when the crosses is a pleasure.
Try it, as much what can happen is that this challenge is not feasible for any reason, nothing happens, you have tried, you could not, now you know that this was not a feasible challenge, you have not wasted your time, just change of challenge. I have proposed many challenges that have finally helped me to see that they had not been a good choice. You do not have to prove anything to anyone, you do it for you.

But if you achieve it, that’s a great satisfaction, a rush of emotional self-esteem, you will feel proud when you realise: I can!, that not only improves you personally, but also prepares you for, if bad times come, be more sure of yourself and have the confidence that you will be able, in some way, to face them and emerge victorious.
