We can not always let go… sometimes we get caught in a tangle of obligations, like a skein you can not unravel.
How did I get here? Society demands that we contribute, that we imply, that we produce. We are educated not only to be equal but to overcome the glass ceiling of our mothers.
And so we train, we try hard, we give the best of ourselves and along the way we see how our life goes in parallel, almost without being able to enjoy it, neither our family and children, nor our things.
When the time to evaluate how happy we are crossing this path arrives and to think that perhaps it would be the right time to start enjoying ourselves and those that we love so much, we realize that we can no longer.
It’s like a labyrinth in which we got and we do not know how to leave.
While we were walking through it, we have come across several fences, losing us several times, some have taken us with a feeling of helplessness to exhaustion and crying.
We have realized that we have always been behind, that we have put ourselves in a second place, or even worse, that along the way we have been left alone because we help our people to find the exit and they are no longer there. We feel that only our friends understand us because, unfortunately, they are also in the same labyrinth, in a similar situation, more or less as difficult to unravel as ours.
Over time we realize not only that we have fallen into the trap of multiplication of tasks and infinite self-demand, but even worse, that we have replicated and educated our daughters in the same way… and when we realize it, it’s too late and we do not know how to forgive ourselves.
In an inaccurate moment, we were disoriented and we were trapped and even though we try hard now we are like in a spider web, immobilized without being able to escape.
Even if you do not know how to get out, even if you want, from this labyrinth, today let me tell you that you should try to be selfish, prioritize yourself, release all the weight of the backpack that you carry, do not demand more, let pass those who come behind. Try to enjoy the morning sun that comes from the sky every day, enjoy the green of the fence that limits you, and, above all, trust and run to the corner to discover with your eyes that I am also inside, waiting in the center of the labyrinth, ready to find the exit with you.
